Electronic commerce: legal regulation in the Russian Federation

The article considers legal aspects of e-commerce in the Russian Federation and sources of its regulation and overseas comparison. Also, the article considers disadvantage of legal regulation of electronic commerce and proposals to transform it. The author of this article concludes that the legal basis of electronic commerce in the Russian Federation is not yet properly built, therefore governed by the general concepts of the Civil Code.
