Electronic flight bag (EFB) in Russia: modern technologies to increase efficiency and safety in Russian aviation

In the Russian aviation industry, as throughout the world, improving efficiency and ensuring safety play a decisive role. Therefore, the introduction of modern technologies becomes an integral part of this process. This article discusses the issue of using a pilot's electronic portfolio. In Russia, as well as in other countries, electronic pilot portfolios (EFB) have become of key importance in the aviation infrastructure, thereby improving data management and ensuring increased levels of flight safety. The author touches on such issues as the use of EFB technologies in Russia, environmental efficiency, reduction in weight and volume of equipment, improved data availability, saving airline time and resources, challenges and prospects for the implementation of EFB technologies.
