Electroodontometry in combined therapy and radiation therapy of malignant neoplasms in maxillofacial area

The article deals with the results of the clinical observation and dental treatment of 60 patients before and after combined and radiation therapy of malignant neoplasms in maxillofacial area. These patients underwent dynamical electroodontometry of 282 teeth. The treatment revealed impact of the radiation on the vitality of pulpa dentis. In addition to that, the article describes terms of the development of teeth radiation necrosis and gives some grounds for the necessity of prophylactic medical examination of this category of patients at the dentist's.
