Elemental thermal models of friction

Бесплатный доступ

Results of simulation of inert materials heating-up at external friction are presented. Most simple thermal models are developed and each of them takes account of influence of only one factor on friction heating. So the thermal models were constructed for short-time dry fric-tion with continuous and discrete contact, and with wear; for long-term dry friction; for formation and development of plastic and liquid interlayers at the cost of the heat release of friction between solid bodies; for interlayer of shearing between solid bodies; for self-excited vibrations during dry and lubricated friction; for outer contact friction of plastic materials together with bounding solid surfaces for im-pact upsetting, for pressing in a die, for penetration of a wedge.
