Elements of media education in the study of art history texts

This article is devoted to studying English texts about art as effective educational means. In this article we point out the key concepts of media education, theoretical approaches in the media education studies, we compare the key concepts of media education and the key concepts of the sphere of knowledge connected with studying texts about art, we analyse the words, that denote the “kinds of painted pictures” and “the main genres of English painting”.
