Endoprosthetics of the hip using the Muller reinforcing rings

The results of observing 141 patients, who were subjected to total endoprosthetics of 156 hips using the Muller reinforcing ring are described. The results of the hip endoprosthetics performed according to the technology mentioned have been studied for 5 years. In an overwhelming majority of cases the technique was used for treatment of acetabular defects of different etiology in young subjects (below 30 years). The use of the Muller reinforcing ring allowed to obtain positive outcomes of treatment even after the primary intervention in 150 cases. Revision interventions were required in 6 cases. The authors have come to the conclusion that support structures of the Muller ring type are necessary elements of the hip endoprosthetics, which can be effectively used in combination with osteoplasty.
