The aim of this study is to comprehensively analyze the influence of energy security on the formation of the European Union’s foreign policy strategy in the Black Sea region. In the course of working on the article, the author employed the following methods of scientific inquiry: methods of systems analysis, comparative studies, geopolitical modeling, and statistical analysis of energy flows. The main results of the conducted research demonstrate that energy security acts as a key determinant of the EU’s foreign policy in the region, defining the nature of interaction with the Black Sea littoral states. Conclusions of the study indicate a significant transformation of the EU’s energy diplomacy after 2022: from a predominant dependence on Russian energy resources to a diversification of supplies through Black Sea routes, which significantly influences the geopolitical architecture of the region and requires a rethinking of conceptual approaches to the further implementation of energy security for EU member states.
