Energy factor in world politics

This article deals with the energy factor, which plays a significant role in world politics. It is as important as military political potential. Today the energy market is turning into a mechanism by which a country can influence global political processes, which makes energy policy one of the main means and methods for realizing national interests. Many national economies rely exclusively on the energy sector, so the forecasts for the development of the state are associated only with this sector. First of all, the energy market depends on the behavior of its main participants and internal processes taking place in the economies of exporting and importing countries of energy resources, on the level of their economic development. Russia today plays a significant role in the global energy market as the largest exporter of energy resources.The main tasks of the energy diplomacy of our country are the protection of domestic interests in connection with the world energy community, the guarantee of stability for the purpose of effective international cooperation for the development of our economy, and the preservation of its geopolitical influence.
