HIV coinfection with viral hepatitis B (HBV) and C (HCV) is an important medical and social problem in healthcare, affecting millions of people worldwide. Research objectives: to study the epidemiological characteristics of HIV coinfection with viral hepatitis. To assess the prevalence of HIV/HBV and HIV/HCV coinfection in Kyrgyzstan during the study period. The analysis of demographic characteristics of patients with coinfection was conducted. A retrospective study of the electronic tracking database of the Republican Center for Monitoring Hemocontact Viral Hepatitis and HIV (RCCHVHIV) was performed. The object of the study was HIV-infected patients with various forms of tuberculosis, currently registered in the dispensary, and patients who died in the past during the period 1998-2024 in the Osh region. The results of the study expand scientific understanding of the epidemiology of HIV and viral hepatitis in resource-limited settings. The study substantiates the need for early detection and prescription of combination therapy, which increases the effectiveness of treatment and reduces mortality. The prevalence of HIV/HBV coinfection remains high, especially among risk groups. Interdepartmental coordination of efforts in the field of prevention, education and accessibility of therapy is necessary.
