Within the period from 1987 to 2009 the salmonellosis case rate dynamics in Perm region was higher than that in the Russian Federation on the whole, which can be explained by prevailing circulation of S. enteritidis species. The sensitivity assessment of the isolated salmonella strains to antimicrobial agents has revealed a high level of sensitivity to ciprofloxacin (100%), cephotaxim (98,4%), cefazolin (98,4%), ampicillin (96,8%), amoksiklav (96,8%), gentamycin (93,7%) and to levomycetin (87,3%). The high level (more than 10-6) of phagolisability of salmonella strains characterized by multiple drug resistance proves the use of favourable bacteriophage therapy in the treatment of salmonelloses caused by polyresistant bacteria.
