Epoch and images in the context of visual culture (on the example of russian painting)

This article considers such cultural concepts as visual culture and the art of painting, artistry, artwork, artistic image and its peculiarities. It also examines some forms, principles and approaches to the analysis of painting as a form of visual culture in the framework of cultural analysis.
