The article analyzes the views of the French economist Bernard Guerra on the development of macro-economic ideas in the 70 years of the 20 th century, set them in the work “The economic analysis Dictionary: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Game theory, and so on.” (2002) and “A Brief History of macroeconomics and lessons that can be extracted from it” (2015), is not translated into Russian. In particular, Professor of Economics, Professor of the University of Paris I - Pantheon-Sorbonne believes that the model of perfect competition and self-regulation of the market is an abstract theory, based on a set of assumptions and has nothing to do with the real market economy. With the same skepticism applies it to the macroeconomic models, in particular, to the theory of “representative agent”, which seemed to him absurd.
Model of perfect competition, efficient allocation of resources, new classics, representative agent
