Post-millenarianism is one of the main eschatological doctrines in modern Western Christianity. Te author of this article analyzes post-millenarianist polemics with dispensationalism, as well as the basic biblical arguments of post-millenarianists: the “great commission” of Christ, the Old Testament prophecies, and world evangelism. Te faultiness of these arguments is due to a lack of understanding of the relationship between God and the Church, God and the sinful world, and an underestimation of the free will of man. Te “small apocalypse” and other systematic eschatological fragments show the corruption and anti-Christian attitude of people during the later times, despite the optimism of post-millenarianists. Te global preaching of the Gospel does not mean that it will be accepted by everyone. Te Kingdom of Christ is not the result of human efforts and words, but the action of the invincible power of God. Post-millenarianism lowers the spiritual struggle of the Christian with Satan on the way to the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, its real foundation is material progress, which is condemned by the St. Ignatius (Brianchaninov) and other holy fathers. Consequently, the mission of Post-millenarianism is anti-church: through preaching the natural and gradual establishment of the Kingdom of God in a sinful world, it distorts the church’s vision of human history and lulls the vigilance of believers before the persecutions of the later times
