Eschatological motifs in the image of the enemy of white guardsmen

The article explores the influence of eschatological themes on shaping of the Image of the Enemy among White Guardsmen during the Russian Civil war. The text was written to analyze the transformation of traditional for the Russian culture religious perception of the war, enemy and self-identity during the XX century, within the White movement. Two kinds of source material were used in this research: propaganda posters and poetry, written by Whites or their open sympathizers, where religious imagery was used - unconsciously or with purpose.
