Aesthetic thought of Anton Chekhov

The article describes the movement of Anton Chekhov's creative thought. The aesthetic principle of figurative-psychological writing is especially revealed. There are no positive and negative characters in it, but there are “alive people”. Chekhov's short novellas and stories (about 65 of them were created) covered the most diverse aspects of the dramatic outlines of daily existence, which were formed at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The designation of the “Vishneviy sad” as a comedy is not an author's indication of the genre basis of the work. The inner meaning could be described differently here: comically, without resistance the old aristocracy leaves the sociohistorical stage.
