Бесплатный доступ

This article discusses the features of the perception of electronic music that distinguish it from the act of listening to the instrumental music. The author shows that the process which has started with criticism and the disappearance of many attributes, inherent to West European music such as mode, recognition of the form and rhythm, ended up with almost absolute elimination of scopes between “music” and “non music”. The sounds of the surrounding world as well as the abstract, electronically created sounds become the subject of aesthetic perception in electronic music. Also, the author reveals the controversy surrounding the semiotic properties of modern music and its possibilities of representation of the real world and abstract metaphors and ideas. The author comes to a conclusion that it appears, a new type of perception, which allows interpreting any sound as a musical.
