The article analyzes the literary and critical heritage of E. Zamyatin of the 1920s in the context of possible influences and points of convergence with the ideas of G. Wölflin,A. Bely, M. Bakhtin. The content and structure of “Lectures on the Technique of Fiction”, reflecting the process of comprehending the aesthetic principles of neorealist art, theorist, popularizer and adherent of which was E. Zamyatin are considered in detail.
