Aesthetic valuation of law as a measure of lawyers’ professional skills

The article explains the need for lawyers to turn to the aesthetic aspect of their activities, since this allows to see law not only as an instrumental and technic phenomenon, but also as a cultural and mental phenomenon. The lawyers' inattention to the aesthetic aspects of law is caused due to the well-established culture of its normativity (moderation). The form (formal definition) is of particular importance for law, therefore, the aesthetics of law is defined in the work as knowledge about the expressiveness of its forms. The professional skills of the lawyer constitute conditions for creating improved, superior expression of legal apparatus, and one of the aspects of these skill is ability to assess, from aesthetic point of view, the correspondence between image (form) of a legal phenomenon and its content (essence). The aesthetic valuation is a subjective attitude which synthesizes aesthetic cognition perception and emotional feelings of a person valuating an object. The cognitive process proceeds according to rules of rational comprehension of reality, feelings reflect taste preferences of the person involved in the valuation process. The intersubjective approach explains the scientific nature of aesthetic and law valuation. The aesthetic abilities of lawyers as experts at their craft demonstrate their individuality and prevent professional deformation.
