The article considers the stages of applying the project method, in particular web projects, in the formation of information and communication competence of foreign language teachers. It is noted that the project method is one of the pedagogical methods created for the field of professional education in order to form and / or develop the skills and abilities of students, and in modern conditions-their competencies. The features of the proposed project methodology, which consist in modeling real learning conditions, are revealed. It is shown that this allows teachers to simulate the learning environment in the context of the chosen topic and analyze the positive and negative aspects of the integration of these technologies into the educational process before directly applying information and communication technologies in the classroom
