Stages of settling Kislovodsk depression according to the archaeological data

The author presents a brief review of the recent data on the archaeological sites, both prehistoric and mediaeval ones, belonging to the inhabitants of the Kislovodsk depression. The work is based on the results of systematic surveys carried out by the author since 1996. As a result, an archaeological-geographical informational system has been compiled in the Institute of Archaeology, RAS. The paper includes a review of the archaeological sites located in the Kislovodsk vicinity chronologically ranging from the Eneolithic to the Modern Times.
