Ethical rules of lawyers in the Republic of Korea

This article is the third in a series about the legal profession of the Republic of Korea. The article discusses the ethical rules and responsibilities of lawyers. The authors describe the legal basis for the activities of lawyers and the moral principles of the activities of a lawyer. The issue of ethics committees at legal professions is discussed in detail. The role of the Korean Ministry of Justice in the application of ethical standards and rules is shown. The procedure for disciplinary liability of lawyers and entities is examined. In conclusion, it is concluded that the legal profession system in Korea is a unique combination of traditional Korean and Western legal principles. It is distinguished by high professionalism and the ability of lawyers to represent clients' interests at a high level. The system has strict liability rules, which ensures reliable protection of client rights.
