The study discusses the ethical issues of science from the perspective of changing worldview in the technology-related civilization. There is a wide range of ethical problems in modern science contributing to the appearance of a new discipline, i.e. ethics of science, studying the moral foundations of research activity, the system of value and worldview categories, moral imperatives that should be a guide for a scientist. The research identifies two separate but interrelated aspects of moral responsibility of a scientist for the reliability of knowledge and their results, in other words, the opportunities and impacts of their practical implementation. The authors determine that the crucial ethical requirements to be met by a contemporary scientist are the high level of expertise and professionalism. An urgent task of modern civilization is the need to integrate science into culture, find the path of moral and spiritual development that will allow one to avoid the possible devastating effects in the worldwide context.
