Ethnic Mass Media in Information Support of the Implementation of the State National Policy of the Russian Federation

The article examines the role of ethnic mass media in information support of the implementation of the state national policy of the Russian Federation. The challenges that need to be overcome for the development of ethnic mass media and the use of their potential in the interests of the state national policy are highlighted. The practices of regional authorities in supporting mass media specializing in covering the issues of ethno-confessional relations, in particular, joint media projects, are analyzed. The author cites the results of a survey of 15 experts in the field of national policy and interethnic relations, containing assessments of the level of information support for state national policy in 2024–2025 and the effectiveness of amendments introduced on January 15, 2024 by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Strategy of State National Policy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025. The expert survey involved 5 representatives of the scientific community, 5 active government officials and 5 representatives of ethnocultural non-profit organizations.
