Ethnic stereotypes as representation of the regional residents' degree of tolerance

The article examines the role of ethnic stereotypes in the formation of ethnic fragment of the worldview on the material of Perm Region ethnonymics. The image of "ethnic identity" in the literary works of Perm authors has been considered and the conclusion has been drawn that the ethnic stereotypes demonstrate tolerant attitude of the regional residents to the representatives of the ethnic groups living in close contact with them in the same territory.
