Some peculiarities of ethnic identity of Buryat traditional personality: mythological discourse

The article is devoted to an actual problem of ethnic psychology. The paper depicts the way the ethnic identity is presented by Buryat traditional personality. The author defines the influence of traditional values on a personality. The article dwells upon the psychological analysis of ethnic identity, personal and group identification of ethnic identity. Analyzing ethnicity indicators as the idea of a common origin, language and cultural material and spiritual heritage, mythological consciousness the author underlines the idea mythological consciousness as popular among Buryats. The author defines the role of intraethnic capsulizing as the development mechanism of ethnic identity. On the basis of research experience the author formulates maintenance of intraethnic capsulizing.
