Ethnicity and right: regional dimension (sociological analysis)

The subject of legal regulation of ethnic rights in the multiethnic state is very complex and controversial. The article presents the pilot results of the survey concerning with public perception of ethnicity functioning in the socio-political space of the Yakut Arctic by case study of Nizhnekolymsky district. The author gives an ethnic sample of public opinion concerning the observance of collective rights of ethnic groups, the state support and consideration for the ethnic factor in the daily life. The paper raises a question about the functioning of "Arctic factor" in the multiethnic social field of the Yakut Arctic.
