Ethnicity and neibourship as realized by youth of Omsk city (basing on the materials of field research in the 2014)

This article is an effort to detect the possible linkage of ethnic and social attitudes among the population of the city of Omsk. The main goal of the study is to track interrelation between the ethnic stereotypes which are peculiar to the concerned category of the population and an image of an “ideal neighbor ”. Author uses to track interrelation between phenomena of existence/absence of attention to a nationality of potential neighbors and the ethnic attitude, which is prevailed in concerned society. This idea is associted with notion that image of an “ideal neighbor ” often can reflect the ethnic stereotypes.
