Ethnocentrism as a historical imperative of Poland in relations with the eastern neighbors

After the collapse of socialism in Eastern Europe, the exiting of Poland from the orbit of influence of Russia has led to the emergence of new political realities in relations between Poland and its new eastern neighbors. Poland, perceiving for centuries Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania as its own remote areas, is aiming at the reviving of the great-power policy towards these countries, trying on the role of a regional superpower, as well as seeking to turn Russia into a political marginalia, using nationalism as a tool to achieve these goals.
