Ethnocultural features of the translation of the Russian film discourse into Chinese: on the example of the comedy “Office romance”

The article is devoted to the problems of adequate transmission of the concepts of the Russian picture of the world in the translated Chinese film discourse on the example of the comedy «Office Romance». A movie is not only a way to look into the world of another culture, but also reveals those gaps that inevitably arise during translation. The author focuses on the specifics of the use of Russian names in the Chinese translated film discourse, showing the features of the translation of film dialogues using stable expressions and attempts to select adequate equivalents in Chinese linguoculture. The author also draws attention to the ways of transmitting Russian stable expressions by means of the Chinese language. The author explains why this film received such a great response from the Chinese audience, despite the complexity of its translation into Chinese.
