Ethnic and cultural basis for formation of a linguistic personality in a university

The author argues for the necessity to use a language as a medium for comprehencing the ethnic culture. A language should be studied within the framework of ethnic culture. To implement the task the author has developed a system of relevent educational methods. The formation of a linguistic personality is facilitated through the wide use of texts on various aspects of ethnic history and folk traditions at Russian language lessons.
