Ethno-national aspect of public policy of Russia in the second half of XVIII - the beginning of the XIX centuries

In the article problems of formation of new approaches of representatives of the imperial power to definition of the role of national national groups in determination of the general parameters of domestic policy of the state are reviewed. Against this backdrop the change of the vector of such development in comparison with the past in the period of Catherine II and Alexander I's reign is particularly distinguisable. The author tries to find out the reasons and consequences of such changes.
