Ethnopsychological peculiarities of teaching English to students in the Republic of Buryatia

Teaching English to students in multicultural environment has some peculiarities. Teachers need to take into consideration ethno-psychological peculiarities of students. Mentality and national character define the features of their behavior and communication. Teaching languages implies group and pair activities. Students' success depends on their ability to interact with people regardless of their ethnicity, culture, religion. English teaching process has a great potential not only in developing language skills but also in formation of students' personal features. Teachers develop the ability of students to communicate with people of different nationalities and cultures. The article presents the analysis of psychological, pedagogical sources on the problem and experience of teaching foreign languages to multicultural audience.
