E.V. Ilyenkov on the phenomenon of abilities in the philosophy of G. Hegel

The article is devoted to the critical analysis of G. Hegel's philosophical position in relation to the actual problem of abilities, made by E.V. Ilyenkov. A comparison is made between the stereotypical understanding of abilities in pedagogy and the philosophical understanding of this problem. Special attention is paid to the dialectical-materialistic approach to identifying the causes of inequality in the realization of abilities, which consist in the social division of labor.
