In the study the stages of making, formation and development of scientific and pedagogical school of international polytransport logistics are stated. Scientific and pedagogical activity of professor of RUTH-MIIT P.V. Kurenkov (Moscow) is considered. The review of the main stages of the formation and development of the school of sciences headed by him is provided. The structure of new scientific direction including such functional segments as quality of transport service of cargo owners, functioning of farms of railway transport, functioning of chains and systems of cargo delivery and passengers is given; rationing of number of the personnel depending on the volume of performed works in farms of different types of transport; development of the approaches based on logistic principles, promoting the increase of the efficiency of functioning of transport system of Russia, the countries of the near and far abroad; situational and logistic management of transportation process on the ground of the railroad; situational and logistic management of functioning of farms of the railroad and other means of transport; situational and process management of work as sorting, cargo and other railway stations, and also transport knots. The short characteristic of executed scientific researches by representatives of this school is given. The statement of the sequence of scientific researches and scientific and organizational communications which resulted in the formation of scientific and pedagogical school of professor P.V. Kurenkov under general name "International Polytransport Logistics" would be of interest.
