Evolution of the development of the legal framework for juvenile court proceedings in Russia

The article presents a historical excursus of the development of domestic criminal procedure legislation governing criminal proceedings against minors. It shows the history of the emergence and development of juvenile courts in Russia, since the late 19th century. A recent study made it possible to identify a number of important stages, the legal border of which is today the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure. Based on the use of historical and comparative legal research methods, it has been established that today a reliable legal framework has been created for the future development of our own model of juvenile justice in Russia.
