Evolution of human capital theory in modern conditions

The article presents an analysis of the results of empirical studies of the role of human capital and education as a sphere of its accumulation in ensuring economic growth. The aim of the study is to identify the factors of the indirect impact of education on macroeconomic dynamics. Particular attention is paid to the study of the elements of the transmission mechanism that provides an increase in total income as a result of the accumulation of knowledge, skills and abilities by individuals. The incompleteness of the process of forming ideas about endogenous and exogenous factors of economic growth has been proved.
