The article is devoted to the use of the heuristic approach in written foreign speech teaching on the lessons of foreign language in secondary school. The author analyzes the effectiveness of the heuristic techniques of writing speech training not only from the point of view of improving the level of foreign language proficiency, but also from the standpoint of the development of cognitive and intellectual potential of students, their creative self-realization.
