The legal value of the lawful definition of marriage in the family law of contemporary Russia

The article is discussed the features of the definition of marriage in the family law in contemporary Russia. Adverse impact on family stability of such factor as dissatisfaction with marriage leads to loss of family ties and values. In the article it is concluded about the impossibility and inexpediency of combining in a single definition of marriage - its social, psychological, moral-ethical and legal components of marriage as a social and legal phenomenon. It is therefore necessary to focus on those important its characteristics that are indispensable and sufficient for its legal significance. Definition of marriage should contain such and only such characteristics, in particular. This article is presented the authors formulation to this notion.
