Legal position and economical activity of modern orthodox churches in Russia

In the article Russian law is examined in relation with modern religious organizations as a part of non-profit organizations, the economical mechanism of functioning of churches that try to form a new model of relations with the government and other economical agents is studied. The work is based on the data of the research of the activities of Orthodox churches of St Petersburg and Leningrad region.
