The article analyzes the results of the primaries of the political party «United Russia» on the eve of the elections to the Moscow City Duma. The author notes that the identified features and trends that emerged during the selection of candidates and the formation of their composition, in general, correspond to similar manifestations at various levels of electoral processes. A separate emphasis is placed on the victory of personalities belonging to the celebrity category according to the results of the primaries in certain districts.
