To the analysis of the content of the diplomatic sources on relations between Russia and Persia for 1588-1607 from the fund-collection of the RGADA

The article is based on the initial stage of the analysis of the content of the diplomatic sources on relations between Russia and Persia for 1588-1607. In total, 63 diplomatic sources were identified during the specified period. This became possible thanks to the preserved archival inventories, which were compiled in the 16th - 19th centuries. Some archival inventories were published under the direction of S.O. Schmidt in the century. The archival inventories significantly complement the diplomatic sources. The article used the techniques of the comparative method in source studies.
