The paper discusses the interpretation of language consciousness as a psycholinguistic concept, which shows how the internal (personal) and external (social) conditions of language, as a person’s property, are associated with changes in the meanings and personal senses of words. This interpretation of language consciousness allows explaining the facts revealed in psycholinguistic experiments through their connections with cultural peculiarities, with the experience of people as members of certain social groups, with personal senses, and with general cultural values.
