The definition of the concepts of ‘jewelry style’ and ‘fashion’. The case of Chernyakhov fibulae and champleve jewelry

Eastern European champleve enamels represent a unique jewelry style. However, despite their distinctness and stylistic unity, champleve enamels were influenced by the Eastern European fashion. In this case the term «fashion» means a historical and cultural phenomenon, a prototype of contemporary fashion.
