To the flora of the Penza region: Mokshan, Penza and Serdobsk districts (based on the materials of the 2023 expeditions)

The article presents the results of studying the flora of 9 tracts in the Mokshan, Penza and Serdobsk districts of the Penza region during botanical expeditions in 2023. A total of 564 species of vascular plants have been identified; 3 species from the flora listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation (2023) are among the rare ones in need of protection: Cephalaria litvinovii , Fritillaria ruthenica , Iris aphylla and 40 species included in the third edition of the Red Book of the Penza region (Ivanov et al., 2024): Adonanthe vernalis , Allium flavescens , Amygdalus nana , Artemisia nitrosa , Artemisia santonica , Astragalus asper , Astragalus austriacus , Astragalus onobrychis , Astragalus varius , Cephalaria litvinovii , Dactylorhiza incarnata , Ephedra distachya , Fritillaria ruthenica , Galatella angustissima , Galatella linosyris , Galatella rossica , Galatella villosa , Gentiana cruciata , Gladiolus tenuis , Gypsophila volgensis , Herminium monorchis , Hippochaёte ramosissima , Iris aphylla , Iris halophila , Iris pumila , Jacobaea schwetzowii , Krascheninnikovia ceratoides , Limonium donetzicum , Otites sibirica , Parnassia palustris , Pedicularis dasystachys , Plantago cornuti , Plantago maxima , Pseudopodospermum tauricum , Salvia nutans , Silaum silaus , Spiraea crenata , Stipa lessingiana , Stipa pennata , Valeriana tuberosa .
