To the history of the scientific and educational work of the museum of nature of Buryatia

The authors of the article consider the formation history of the scientific and educational work of the Museum of nature of Buryatia starting from the 1940s when it was the department of nature of the Republican Local History museum. Then, the period of time from the museum opening in 1983 as an independent institution up to the 1990s is touched upon. The article also describes the forms of the scientific and educational work of the museum with the visitors in providing and promoting environmental education of the population of that time.
