The article is devoted to the historical-etymological analysis of the four substrate Finno-Ugric words, forming the theme group “Landscape,” in different years occurred in the Russian dialects of Prikamye and recorded in dialect dictionaries. Two lexemes, егер (jeger) ‘bad, weak pine forest on the wet place' and сёрд (syord) ‘a distant piece of land (forest, filed)', on the author's data, have not been analysed in the historical-etymological aspect so far. E. N. Polyakova suggested for the word пурга ( purga) ‘thick, impenetrable forest' Lappish etymology, which, though, needs detailing. The lexeme туман (tuman)‘(running water lake)' in the 1950‑s was recorded in the Trans-Urals and was etymologized by A. K. Matveev, but the final edition of “The Akchim Dictionary” (2011) expands its areal and our view on the influence of the Mansi language on the dialects of the Trans-Urals.
