Concerning breaking of the impasse in the historiographical study of the caucasian war: conceptions of interactive learning

The article describes the contemporary historical and anthropological approaches to the phenomenon of the Caucasian war, which allows to break the impasse in the historiographical evaluation and analysis of this controversial epoch in the history of relations between Russia and the peoples of the Northern Caucasus. The author emphasizes the areas related to the ethnography of the war, the theory of contact zones, frontier foundation, focuses on Russia, imperial designs.
