To the problem of research the Russian folk choreographic art

The proposed article presents individual forwarding materials of 2004-2005 years which were made by researchers from the Moscow State Institute of Culture, the State Republican Center of Russian folklore, etc. The author proposes a classification of Russian folk choreographic art (traditional choreography (folklore) and stage choreography), which in turn is divided into professional and amateur choreography; considers the value of Russian traditional choreography (folklore) in Murom region and Vladimir region; gives examples of classification of round dances (circular and linear; ornamental, gaming and dancing), dances (single, pair dances, group, mass, etc.), quadrilles (linear, square, circular and mixed) and household dancing (paired-group, etc.); stresses the importance of the study, classification and popularize Russian folk choreographic art for conservation, development and revival of national traditions.
