The problem of criminal penalties for certain age groups of youth

The study deals with the problems that arise as a result of criminal penalties imposition to representatives of young people who are eighteen years old. These young people due to their age lose the status of a minor, legally becoming adults, but still maintaining social, psychological, behavioral, and physiological characteristics of teenagers. At the same time, the procedure of assigning and executing criminal penalties for them is radically tightening, which increases the risk of their involvement in the relations that develop between people in places of detention and lead to deep desocialization. The author concludes that it is necessary to form a certain procedure for the imposition of criminal penalties for people of this age group and gives some recommendations.
