To the problem of prevention of lameness and diseases of the distal limbs of cows

The purpose of our study was to study the effectiveness of using a drug based on flunixin meglumine as an analgesic for lameness in cows in comparison with the use of a circular novocaine blockade according to I.I. Magda against the background of functional hoof trimming using the Dutch flat method. The results of the scientific and experimental experiment showed that the administration of a drug based on flunixin meglumine intramuscularly in a volume of 20 ml once a day for 5 days gave a positive effect in relieving pain syndromes with varying degrees of lameness compared to the use of a circular novocaine blockade. The results obtained clearly demonstrate the feasibility of using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs based on flunixin meglumine as an analgesic for lameness in cows.
